The Most Romantic Face

Have you ever thought about who had the most romantic face in old Hollywood? Well, a newspaper in 1951 did. They found there was no one perfect romantic face. The perfect romantic face was a combination of parts from six actresses.

Make-up artist Perc Westmore explains:

Forhead, Jane Russell: No one pays much attention to her forehead, but she has a brow that can be described with only one word – inviting. It’s lofty and smooth… just right for leaning your cheek against.

Eyes, Jayne Greer: They’re eyes a man can get lost in.

Nose, Janis Carter: It’s pert and shapely. When she smiles it wrinkles delightfully.

Lips, Jean Simmons: They are tailor made for kissing. A mad could go made watching those lips.

Chin, Jane Wyman: The most lovable chin in the world… it’s the chin a man could love through thick and thin.

Throat, Shelley Winters: Alluringly caressable.
