In 1955, Robert Mitchum sued Confidential magazine over a story claiming the actor showed up at a wrap party for Night of the Hunter dressed as a hamburger. The story claims he showed up nude, covered in ketchup and said, “This is a masquerade party, isn’t it? Well, I’m a hamburger – well done.” Mitchum claims the story is “completely and entirely false and untrue”.
