Carole Lombard, A Good Egg

The crew of 1936′s My Man Godfrey loved down-to-earth star Carole Lombard and regarded her as a “good guy” and the “tops”. When filming was finished they presented her with an enormous china egg that they had all decorated and autographed. The inscription on it read, “To Carole, A Good Egg.”
